It's kind of a weird feeling where different "lives" crash into each other, as they do sometimes. I'm in the midst of writing a paper and really focused on getting it done, so I wasn't really procrastinating but I checked LJ earlier and learned that Z and V have split up, which took me totally out of work zone for a moment. Well spoken for any couple, I would say! I don't know a damn thing about them, or how they were as a couple, and now that I think about it I'm not sure I've ever even seen either of them act. But I think it's a very true sentiment. :3

You kinda have to have seen Zac act in Firefly. Teenage!Simon? That was before the whole High School Musical madness, obviously.

Yes, absolutely, it's totally not meant to apply just to the two of them. I think I wrote it in that context because people seem so eager to bash and deny in the case of celebrities - I hate that "I knew all along they weren't meant to be!" attitude, it just bothers me the way that we read love stories like that, both in fiction and in real life. It's just louder in the case of celebrity because it makes people extra obnoxious, I guess. >.>

PS. I can't believe you haven't seen High School Musical, you really have to grab Bonnie and watch it with her one of these days, it's a riot when you have a good friend to laugh with as you watch. :)

Aww, very well said! I get the impression it was a very amicable breakup and that they're still good friends, and I'm sort of ridiculously happy about that. They've always seemed like sensible young adults who managed to stay away from the more crazy Hollywood lifestyle, so I'm glad there's no drama now either. I adore them both and whatever decision they're happy with, I can only support, right? <3

I wasn't too surprised about this actually, but I think it's because there's been a few Blind Items that were revealed to be about them (well, supposedly, this is BlindGossip we're talking here) that kind of colored my impression of the relationship. I do think it says something, though, that they lasted as long as they did, in Hollywood, and at such young ages.

But super bonus for the random CRANBERRIES LOVE!

Heh, I feel like there have been so, so many times in the past five years when gossip sites/publications would announce that they were on the way out that they were doomed to end up being right at some point. (There's an awesome expression for this but it's escaping me right now!) I'm curious what it is that was "revealed", though?

Haha, I do love the Cranberries. That was my particular soundtrack for that day :)

Cranberries were my soundtrack thru most of high school ;)
As far as the rumors, I'm fuzzy, but something to do with Z going to a lot of strip clubs and doing more than just watching (although that could just be a PR-story) and then another where he and his friends were apparently pretty rude to V while she was performing Rent in LA last...whenever that was. And there was some video accompanying that...If I can figure out where I read that I'll let you know.
Anyway, "all good things", etc....
