Aaaand a few links that have nothing to do with each other but they do have to do with what's on my mind these days! I'm a little frustrated that I'm not finding the time to comment on some of these really important things that are happening, but I'm still trying to balance everything in my life. :/

There was something I wanted to ask you. How's your Christmas dilemma?

And aw, thanks for asking about my Christmas dilemma :) It actually got resolved shockingly easily in the end, because Allie's dad and stepmom ended up (without asking) buying a ticket for me on their frequent flyer miles. They do that for Allie every year. So, RIDICULOUSLY NICE of them, and it solved my dilemma, so I'm super, super grateful. And excited that I get to spend Christmas with Allie's family at least. :)

As usual I am loving your links. Re: trans folks link. I don't really understand the last point, possibly because I have no trans friend that I know of. I understand that people need time to adjust when someone comes out as trans, but I don't understand feeling like that person has died. It's just gender, it's not like that person is completely different. If anything ze is being more hirself than before.

I am SO excited about the Much Ado movie! Don John is THE BAD GUY - go read the play again! - which fills me with aaaalllllll the giggles! It also makes me incredibly happy that Nathan is playing Dogberry because it's the funniest part and I just bet he had fun with it. SO EXCITED.

I'll have to re-read the play too.

The OWS stuff is insane - I can't believe it has been spreading to other countries as well. It's fun hearing about it from "the other side" - that they are all union-supported jack-boot communist thugs - and then you actually go read their blogs and tweets and its like uh, no.
I wonder if they plan on sticking it out as weather gets colder though.
I thought Al Sharpton summed it up best when he stated that even if they leave today, they have accomplished at least one thing - that they have turned the national rhetoric over to jobs and the systemic problems concerning the relationship btwn corporate interests, the financial system, and Congress- which is where the conversation SHOULD have been all along! Tea Party didn't manage
