I think it is important to take anything like that with a pinch of salt...sometimes it seems they are the answers people want when everything else fails. So I would stick with what your therapist is advising, it sounds a lot healthier and far more positive ^^

Hahaha! "Keep a part of yourself hidden" really is a horrible advice! X3
Some people cling to those things... an old neighbor lady of mine once went to a gypsy woman because she believed she had some black magic cast on her... >_

I believe in karma~ It's actually my motto, and my mom's totally tagging along with me in my dedication to believe that everything happens for a reason. I also believe in past lives. I reaaaaaally wonder what I was like in my past lives because I have a split personality-type now. I don't need a therapist or psychiatrist or psychologist to tell me this (but it would be nice to have absolute proof~)

I think one time, I had a dream that felt like.. real in a way. And if it's in any way connected to a past life, then... I was a very bad person (mebbe that's why I'm always getting killed in dreams that take place in the current world) ...now I'm rambling *bows out*

You should take a look at astrology.com they have tones of readings there. I think I got a mail from them about Karma reading a few weeks ago.
OMG! My mom thinks I got a something similar to split personalty... The selfish and dark Dana that listens to Cradle of Filth at 3 AM. And the sweet and positive Dana all the neighbors are always taking about how charming she is... But I think mommy is just being melodramatic... >_>'''
I actually believe that dreams truly have a meaning. I have a huge book about that. Whenever I have a weird dream I look it up! X3 *will look up what frequently getting killed in dreams means*

*has those same sides* XD And everyone tends to point it out; one guy even went so far as to agree with me when I jokingly said that I'm "bipolar", kufufufu

*will look up what frequently getting killed in dreams means*

Haaaii~! Please do, and tell me if it's something I need to be worried about... *still worried* >.>;
Also, what's the name of that book? Maybe I can buy myself a copy so I can look up my own dreams, if and whenever I remember them ^^

Here is what I found:

Death:
Dreaming of your own death does not mean that you will die. It is mostly a good sign. A spiritual rebirth. Also, that you need a change of direction in your life, new hobbies, meeting new people, opening up to new horizons.
Kill/getting killed: You feel that the situations you find yourself in are unjust and undeserved. Someone has more control over your life then should let them. Once again it speaks of needed change. It means that just around the corner is a way for you to release yourself form your "biggest" problem/fear and you only need to grasp it. If you constantly keep having those dreams it only means that you fail to grasp that chance.
That was the best I could translate, hope it sheds some light! X3
All in all, dreams of death are considered a good sign... go figure... O_o
The book is one of the editions of "Sanovnik" we have here. It means like "Dream Dictionary" or something...
