Random update from way down yonder:

So, Tuesday was our last day of school (and our last exam) before the brief summer "break"...still a bit hard to believe that I've managed to make through of a year of  craziness medical school, with my sanity completely relatively intact ;o)

So, I'm finally up here in lovely Boston :o)  Still trying to settle in, take care of important things like bank account (done), furniture shopping, grocery shopping, etc....also trying to familiarize myself with the layout of the area,  and the transport system ( Read more... )

Sooooo....in the early stages of figuring out where to live in Boston. As I haven't been up there in the past 9 years, I'm sure there are areas that have changed, gone uphill / downhill, expanded, etc.  Keeping this in mind, I'd welcome any advice, impressions, or musings on which areas are generally safe, which areas are very dangerous, which ( Read more... )

Could any wise, wonderful & kind soul give me a few hints on how to post pictures here?  I have photos, saved as JPGs, but I'm not sure how to post them on LJ....any advice?

Friday: had marvelous time in the company of the fabulous Mei-chan and fantastic K-chan (woohoo!). Introduced them to various furry and feather-legged friends at the wildlife refuge where I volunteer.
