Update from Swampy FL

Just a quick note to say hi, and that I'm alright, the family's alright, the house is alright (the yard's an absolute WRECK, but oh well...). The entire neighborhood was flooded out for 3 days, and we went without power for a day and a half, but considering what all of those poor souls up in LA & MS are going through right now, it pales in ( Read more... )

Thank you for checking in - I was worrying about you in a quiet I-don't-have-the-faintest-idea-how-to-get-in-touch-with-her way... I'm glad you and yours are all OK.

Perhaps you could plant something from the Everglades that likes swamp in your front yard?

(H. grins) hadn't thought of that...pity there wasn't a "Squee-gee Mop" tree, where we could just plant one and it would absorb all of the excess moisture around here ;o)

Certainly, although I feel very lucky, compared to others...I can't even look at the pictures in the news anymore, I just break down & start sobbing :o(

I know your father won't be happy unless he has something green and growing to play with.

Thanks for the offer, dear! He's already planning out blueprints for his "replacements" ;o)
