first of all, if the guy loved her, he wouldnt be wearing a helmet while going 100 miles plus, putting him and his gf in danger, the girl should be wearing it. Second, im sure if he put his foot off the damn gas pedal, it would of slowed down. my assumption, this guy is suicidal and the worst story i have ever heard.
