i think it's definitely a good idea to get two if you can afford it. space isn't too much of an issue for cats, they'll make use of whatever they have. i know you like to keep your space clean so i don't think it'll be much difference to have two rather than one -- and the will definitely keep each other company, which is nice

my only advice is to choose a kitty that doesn't cling to you too tightly when you pick him up and try to find one who is quite comfortable with you holding him (if you want a lap cat that is). i more or less let roscoe (the cat we adopted last year) pick us. if you choose to get two cats, i would get a pair who are already close - adoption places like to keep family/close friends in pairs so i am sure you will have lots of options!

You know, I was THIS CLOSE to impulsively buying a ticket to one of their five shows, (I mean, really? New York gets FIVE shows?!), but then I bought tickets for the other two cities instead. The only reason I didn't plan a NY trip was because I have a lot going on the weekend before, plus the added expense of travel would have been a little tough right now. I do want to come to NYC soon, though! You should totally go to one of those performances.
