A lovely reading! Edoras is one of the LotR places where the images from the movies overlap with my mental images from the book over and over again, and have long since formed a beautiful marriage. Hearing you read this part now added another beautiful layer.

On a different note, this icon of yours always makes me smile. ;o) Bofur is one of my favourite characters from The Hobbit, and I so love "He says we'll blunt the knives!" line.

Thank you! I'm so glad you enjoyed the reading. Bofur is my favorite dwarf after seeing the films and so I had to have an icon of him. I love his conversation with Bilbo just before the Goblin King bit of the film.

Ah, LJ, why do you vex us so? I'm glad you got it to play and I'm also glad you enjoyed the reading. I do wish LJ would get the bugs fixed on the voice posts. It's always an issue in some way and it seems to be getting worse.

I like that about Legolas too and I love the fact that in the book, no one says, 'What do your *Elf* eyes see?' as if Legolas has another pair of eyes that might not be Elf eyes that he could use, but no, Aragorn wants him use the Elf eyes! Agggggh It's worded so much better in the book. Why, PJ, why?

Thank you for letting me read this time even though I was late. This is such a cool thing that you have set in motion and some day, it will be possible to listen to the whole thing if the LJ audio lets us finish!

LOL, what if Legolas had said, "Sorry, didn't pay my monthly Elf eyes bill, so I can only use my Dwarf eyes." I would say that in general PJ is not a subtle filmmaker...

And you're very welcome! Of course, if we ever reach the end, we will all be considerably older than we are now!!! But I dream of being able to listen to my friends read the entire book aloud!!!
