I hope you're enjoying being at home with the kitties and your family and that your grandma liked the surprise! :D Don't worry about the LJ absence, sometimes a break is good and makes the whole thing seem more fun when you come back. And anything that distracts from the dissertation is probably best gone without ;). Btw, did you post my letter before you left? It hasn't arrived, and I'm a little worried.

And I'm so so so sorry, I didn't post your letter before I left. :( I'm such a crap pen pal! By this point I'm just gonna wait and send it out with your birthday present, which I'm gonna go shopping for soon, and will hopefully make splendiferous to make up for my incredible posty lateness!
