Well, I'm back. (LOTR reference, anyone? Anyone?) And it's done. The dissertation is finally, finally done. I still don't feel completely unburdened, as Fran could very well send it back with a post-it note telling me that it's all complete crap and that I need to do it all over again. Oy, you're not a crap friend! I don't mind if the package is a little late, it's still a treat to here from you.

It's good to read a post from you again, especially as I am terrible at remember to reply to emails! (Sorry.) I'm a little sad you won't be on my shores again until January, but I undertstand your reasons and it's great that you've made a decision as it's never fun to feel lost and without a plan!

Your thoughts on the UK/USA differences were most fun to read too :).

Thank you for the compliment, and for being so understanding. I promise, now that this darn dissertation is behind me, I shall not be so lax in communication again! And I'm actually going to be back in England from my birthday until Halloween in order to tie up some loose ends, but after that I'll be home for the holidays, and I think it'll be good. This also means that I'll be able to work on music again, as well as writing. I have all sorts of plans, I hope I don't succumb to the lure of faff! ;)

Ah, the lure of faff! I know it well :). I guess the only way yo avoid it is to set yourself targets and write to do lists most days, that's how I ensure I don't waste my days off anyway :).
