On the train back from Whitby yesterday I kept having all these thoughts about the idea of 'home,' more as a metaphysical or spiritual notion than a physical structure. What began as a list of questions turned into a poem about the sea. Go figure

I ended up not going to Salisbury, though if I had I probably would have just gone to shops up there, too, more to talk to the proprietors than to buy anything specific. I have no problems supporting our modern-day seers and wise folk with moola. Everyone's gotta make a living! Plus, I've been to Stonehenge twice and been very unimpressed. Ah well, to each her own. :) I hope you had a good Samhain yourself!

I'm glad you had a good time in Whitby, even if it was a bit moretouristy than April - does that tend to be the case? And I can see your dilemma on the photo thing, as you said attention is nice but it is supposed to be a place for Goths to relax and be themsleves, and that atmos. is ruined a bit if people go there just to gawk and take pictures. Ah well. Hope you had a good Samhain!
