Most of what was cut in Goblet of Fire was NOT important to the over all plot of all seven books. And some that are (like fawkes giving two feathers as cores and such) can be explain a lot easier in later movies ( Read more... )

I think he did show the fact that his parents DID love him always and are forever with him through the fact taht he mistook himself as his father and Sirius monologue before he flies off with Buckbeak in the courtyard. ;P

And he kept the whole Marge dissng his parents.
