I`m taking it as a good sign ... the laughing definitely, the branding ... we'll have to see! Half the trick in an interview is to be remembered. Sounds like you succeeded...
firstly I had to do it by hand ... I know naff all about the redevelopment really Sounds alright to me. Start off with "I both think and write quicker on a keyboard, with the added advantage of being legible and having a spellchecker" and you'll set the tone... As for not knowing, isn't that what management is about? Knowing enough to make a decision, but without being an expert? The direction you took sounds like what they probably wanted...
And as for If work then say no, it just means that I`m not what work is looking for as a prospective manager that's just not going to happen. Or rather, if it does, then it's an opportunity not a rejection - there's plenty of similar places out there that would snap you up as "accepted by Plymouth Uni for ... course, and want to move ahead with my career". Complete with pay rise, etc etc...
we did joke about the dying art of handwriting, and the main interviewer agreed that when she had to do a piece of handwriting that it felt strange for her too ... so empathy from interviewer on that front *smile*
oooh, bizarely I hadnt thought about it like that ... hmmm *cogs turning*
well my degree is in archaeological conservation, a field I can pretty much no longer get into cos of how old my degree is and the fact that there are more conservators than jobs at the moment. The foundation degree is in contact centre management, so its all structured around the environment that I`m actually working in, and though I dont particularly want to stay working in a call centre for the rest of my life, its an opportunity to get a more recent, and more useful, nationally recognised qualification ... and as work are sponsoring people to do it, I wont be loosing out on money cos I`m spending a day away from work at college, plus they are paying all the fees etc - just seemed too good an opportunity to miss.
no dates have been given yet ... the college have more interviews tomorrow and friday to do, and then they will feed back to work ... but that might be on friday or at the start of next week.
Work will then mull it over and invite the successful ones to the in-house interview and assessment where they will decide who the feel is suitable for the company as a possible manager.
Quite a long route just to get onto a college course, but all going well I`ll know by the end of next week whether or not I`ve been successful with teh college *fingers crossed*

One question, though: I thought you already had a degree, so what's this about a foundation degree?
