labels

After ten years of labels ("diva", "student", "goth", "blondie", "foreigner", "immigrant", "allochtoon", a Dutch word (derived from Greek  ἀλλος (allos), other, and χθων (chthon) earth/land), literally meaning "originating from another country") I am finally tired of having to put up with the labels that people put on me. People will unfortunately judge whatever you do or don't answer. I've faced it my whole life in England - I might have been born here, but as I'm not pure white people automatically assume I'm not English. It's an instant judgement without me even opening my mouth ( ... )

Sad huh? It's always good to see a post from you though, even on topics that shouldn't even be an issue! I've not been through Holland for ages, especially not with any days off - I promise I'll see you again one day! xx
