I've been with a karate club I quite like for about six months now - yay for good karate classes.
I used to go to a Russian martial arts class that was quite good as well, but inconvenient (in time and location). Perhaps I'll check them out again some day. But at the Russian club we used to do weapons all the time, knives and guns. Sometimes when we'd do knife training we'd specifically wear old clothes, and the "attacker" would attack with a red Sharpie - if you got red ink on you or your clothes, you'd be cut.
CT is longer this year...really, you and I should be doing some training together...
I'd love that. I take it you're not coming South this month, but we should set aside particular time! I like the red sharpie idea, too; will pass that along to Daniel, as I think for groups it'd probably work better than brooms. Though the broom was hilarious, I have to say...
Management specifically decided there would be no overlap between entertainment for the two events (and I understand that). So I'll be there in the fall, but not this coming weekend.
I'd love if we could have a regular time for training, come this fall.
