I applied to grad school, as you all know.  I had been told in November by the then department chair that decisions were made by the end of January.  When I hadn't heard by mid-February I called the office and was told that the process had changed this year and it would be three more weeks until decisions would be mailed.  So, three weeks later, ( Read more... )

Commander Spock died yesterday.

We're snowed into our apartment.  A berm has formed in front of our door.  Hopefully someone will come shovel us out tomorrow.  The University is closed for the first time since 1979.  Which is good for Patrick, two days off, no penalty.  However, it also means there will be no plows running so that we can get out of our University apartment ( Read more... )
