What do people here think about changing themes as a way to make people more attracted to joining your comm or forum or website? I just realised that all my comms were on the default theme, and so I've gone through and changed them around to fit better. I'm also hoping that none of my choices are blinding or offputting. So, what comms and sites do you run or own? I'm curious to know, particularly with all these new members!

I know about icontest_ads, icontest_needs, and icontest_promo and I've used them but I still find that I'm having trouble getting members and participation for 2 out of my 4 icontests.

Any Suggestions?

If anybody here is a mod for an icontest community and would like to affiliate with any or all of my icontests please let me know - maybe we can help eachother out :)

Is there a way to put various games, I was thinking fairly simple ones, on a site, and people play them while still on the site? It'd also have to be free, and not 'annoying' ones. Anyone know of any, or if it's possible?

How do you go about preemptively coming up with FAQ for a website community? How would you personally write them? Tonewise, etc.

Say you'd come up with an idea for a website, independently of ever seeing anything like it before. So Google Ads has rejected my appeal for my forum. They terminated my account because my forum is apparently a threat to their advertisers because my members clicked too much. (it was a new feature and they were curious. It's not as if they were clicking 100 times a day, more like once or twice, and that would have slowed down once they got used to ( Read more... )
