this evening i write from my desk, where i am having my dinner with a well-deserved glass or red wine.  my computer is as much a dinner companion these days as much as it is a creative tool, entertainment center, informational hub, and connection to the outside world.  hi, computer... how was your day?  did the cats wake you?

this has been one heck of a week!  not only did we finally get a painting demonstration in painting class, but we were finally given an assignment... and it couldn't have come at a worse time!

I'm now going on Week 4 of Fabric School.  Week 3's assignment was to bring a large live flower to class along with 15 sheets of typing paper and a fat, blunt marker with you to class.  The result of this was the expected 30-second drawing, but with a twist.
