Good news - I got a promotion. I'm now the lead carpenter on my construction crew. Happy days are here. Though it means I'll probably have a bit less time on my hands and will take to bitching about how stupid my subordinates are instead of how stupid my superior is. Now my only boss is the foreman, who's a great guy. I'm really jazzed!

Praise the Lord and pass the ammunition! My brother's out of jail. Seems there were enough people to back up his side of things (that it was just a barfight that they both instigated, not clear-cut enough to be assault). Anyway the charges against him have been dropped and we all breathed a sigh of relief.
