Thanksgiving holiday was nice. I was in Georgia with my dad, visiting my aunt and uncle. It wasn't too exciting. The food was excellent. I saw Casino Royale, which was good. My dad had to go into surgery on Tuesday. Nothing too serious, but still, surgery is always an issue because of his age. He made it through and is doing fine now. My girlfriend has been so sweet. I went to NYC for fall break last weekend! I left on Thursday morning, and flew to Detroit, and then to NYC. The trip was wonderful. Vida and Alison met me at the airport and we headed to Brooklyn. The weekend was great success! Filled with experiences from all around the world! Friday night, I polka danced for hours with Shannon at Oktoberfest. This weekend was wonderful (alliteration!)! Started the weekend off very nicely on Friday when I got to Shannon's apartment. We then went to support Matt's guitar teacher by seeing his jazz band play at Ross Bridge. The place was incredible. The sushi was great. And music was great. I loved it. Wow. You've got to be kidding me. I really want to see this. And I'm very curious as to what type of people would live there. I suppose very rich nerds.

The last couple nights have been lots of fun. Two nights ago Joy, Jonathan and I went and saw the Counting Crows at the Oak Mountain Amphitheater. Great show. Anna Begins, Monkey, Long December, Miami. It was a very impressive show. I hadn't seen them in about 10 years. They were one of my first concerts. At the same venue. Work is boring right now. But here's a little update on life. Fall semester started last week, and I'm taking three classes. It seems like it is going to be a very busy semester.
