I killed my snow shovel

Of Figs, Quinces, Apples and Grapes
Buried the other two fig trees a while back. Have managed to make applesauce, apple butter, quince marmalada, quince jelly, quince butter, grape marmalade, strawberry-quince marmalade, and grape jelly. They all came out quite well, surprisingly..... I guess that if one adds enough sugar and vanilla extract, anything tastes good ( Read more... ) -

Yesterday, I buried two fig trees. Not a whole bunch of people in Syracuse, New York can say that and be telling the truth, but I can honestly say it is the truth. The weather here is not too conducive to wintering over fig trees in their all-together, so they have to be helped along.
