GRC - Day 2
Breakfast, Talks, Coffee Break with a line longer than the designated time slot for the coffee break, more talks, lunch, "free time where," a poster session, dinner, ice cream, more talks, post-talks b.s. session with beer, wine, and a colleague of mine being even more opinionated than I am.

Traveling to the GRC
New London is not conveniently served by any major airports. The Gordon Research Conference has shuttle busses set up from the closest airports, but I elected to drive. Mostly I find that the difference in travel time isn't that significant once the terminal waiting period and the ground transportation is figured in. Driving is quite a bit cheaper ( Read more... ) -

Yeah, yeah, so I'm negligent about updating LJ. I've never been much of an exhibitionist. I just don't think my musings are that important. However, this week I'm in New London, NH at Colby-Sawyer College attending a Gordon Conference. Thursday Never looking back
- Worked on that Grant some more and more and more.
- Filled out termination report for completed grant.
- Emailed collaborators about grant due monday.
- Uploaded preliminary grant to NSF website.
- Wrote lecture for tonight and next tuesday.

- Meeting with the only student who could show up to the lab by 10:00AM.
- Setting up a meeting with a potential collaborator for next week.
- Resolving a missing reimbursement check issue.
- Telephone meeting with collaborator regarding grant due today.
- Revising a collaborative grant that was due today.

I:- Coordinated scheduling changes for Doctoral Candidacy Exams.
- Discussed the JACS communication I panned with a colleague.
- Answered student questions about the Statistical Thermodynamics Midterm(s).
- Wrote inclass miderm exam for Stat. Thermo. class.
- Read homework assignments.
