Well, this is my last full day in London. Tomorrow afternoon/evening I catch a train over to Frankfurt, where I spend the night either in the airport, or I see how much a hotel room in/near the airport costs. I am now the proud owner of a pair of 14 hole black Gladiators. I forsee a long, happy life together. A girl and her boots are not soon parted.

So I'm in Edinburgh now. Planning a full day for tomorrow. Go see the castle and maybe go do a scotch tour/tasting then off to who knows where. I want to see if I can plan a day trip out to the Highlands, or maybe even a two-day trip somewhere if the mood strikes me. We'll see how it pans out. For now I'm off for food though.

I'm exhausted.  I walked so much today.  I did the Colleseum today, but on the way I passed by some big square with a giant vaguely palace-like building, and so went to check it out too.  They also had a bunch of free exibits in there, so I couldn't pass up free exhibits now could I?  They had two that were based around Italian military history, so ( Read more... )

I went to the beach today.  I spent the morning wasting time around my laundry, but finally dragged my ass out the door to go to the beach.  I was feeling pretty down to tell you the truth.  Kind of melancholy.  I took the bus (boat bus) to Lido (about 30 minutes by "bus") and walked to the beach.  I stopped along the way to buy a bottle of wine ( Read more... )
