I think you have had some pretty clear signs already. 1. you were accepted. 2. you met those people at the ball game... i mean really... what are the chances of that 3. Of your friends and family who pray for you, all support what you are doing. Am I wrong?
Two things I rely on: Some times all the options God presents us are good and it is OK for us to choose which we want. (Like when we were debating on moving to CA... I believe either was good and God would use us in either place.) And Go with your gut... And it seems your gut is fine. I think you would KNOW if this were not the right thing to do.
I second xbeltanis, except for the part about the ball game, cause I don't know what she's talking about there! :)
I'm a big believer in the 'God speaks to us through our gut' line of thinking. Mostly b/c I believe that if you are actively seeking God's will, your gut, aka: the holy spirit, will tell you if you're doing the right thing or not. There are always exceptions, like when you're too upset to listen to anything, but for the most part, that works for me.
Don't worry about Ravenfrog, we'll take good care of her while you're gone. I plan on annoying the hell out of her with calls and emails! :)
I hope this is the experience of a lifetime and that you'll always look back on this time with fond memories.
I think I pretty much agree with what you're saying. Probably that was what I was trying to say, or work around to, just ended up nattering on :-)
The ball game thing was that Ravenfrog and I went to a Beavers game and sat right behind some people who live in Alameda. We chatted to them about what it was like there.
Everyone has been supportive which I really appreciate and all the prayers are muy importante. (I think that's how to spell muy, I don't remember :-)
