As I've grown older, I feel as though most of my friends have given up their night-owlishness. Yet, I continue on into the late of night, even in the face of demands on my time early in the morning. I have that same dream as well (easily once a quarter).

And some folks are just owls. I should give you an Anne Fadiman essay on this---you might find it amusing.

I can attest to the fact that those dreams will continue even when you are years and years out of school. I've had "oh shit I'm 3 hours late for my final" dreams, "I registered for the wrong class" dreams, and "it's opening night of the school play and I'm the lead and I haven't rehearsed because I was too busy building a TREEHOUSE" dreams. They nevvvver ennnnnnnd.

I still have that dream... frequently... the fact so many people have it, and it's almost exactly the same from one person to the next is... interesting...
