Well, it seems that our little, sweet lab-beagle, Ginger, has gone to a better place....She was over 14 years old, and life had gotten tough for her over the last months of her life. So Ms Bain was here this weekend. We had a nice visit--doing some shopping, eating some good food. Saturday morning she went to stay with another friend for her last night. So Dan tripped a couple weeks back in the city (coming to pay me a surprise visit, no less!) on a hole surrounding a fire hydrant that wasn't covered or blocked off. Mom and Dad are driving up this week for a visit and I can't wait! I always enjoy having them up. They are supposed to get here Thursday afternoon and stay until Monday. I am very excited!

Monday night I went to an info session at Hunter College for their MSW program. Their campus is located on the upper east side of Manhattan. I worked a half day so I could go to that meeting at 5:30. It was such a great feeling to be back on a campus, in a lecture hall, surrounded by people interested in the same career as myself. When the meeting ( Read more... )

Yesterday was two years for me and Dan! I cannot believe how the time has passed. It is very special to me that we met right after I moved here, so when my anniversary for the big move comes around, I always know that soon after our anniversary follows. Been busy recently--Dan keeps me on the run. This past weekend we went to Pennsylvania to visit his cousins for the Labor Day holiday. They live right outside of Philly, so we ate some good cheese steaks and wandered through South Street in Philly and then along the water. We could not have had better weather.
