Although my bday is 9 days away I've gone ahead and started celebrating. I got a surprise package this week containing an Anova Precision Cooking immersion circulator. Well, it made a brief return this weekend in Los Angeles. I was up there for bachelor party. The idea of bachelor parties at nearly 40 (or well above 40 for more than a few of the guys there this weekend) is very ridiculous. What am I going to do with a house?
So my friend may have to move to Germany for six months or so. He just bought this house that I was only going to temporarily stay at but he would like me to stay until he gets back (really he would like me to stay forever). Of course he still wants me to pay rent too…and watch the pit bull that he adopted as soon as we moved into the house. Um… -

Almost one year in Oakland! I'm still loving it. I love my neighborhood. I love my city. I love my building. I love having my own place that I don't have to share with anyone. I'm just loving life right know, on my terms. You can't fade my shine.
