Randomly?
It turns out that a closed oven with the light on is the perfect place to put bread to rise. The light apparently gives off just enough heat to make it the perfect temperature for yeast to go nuts, but not so hot that they all die off. Seriously, the bread dough was like "WHOOSH! Did not wake up until noon.
Laid in bed until 1:30 and read half a Georgette Heyer novel.

Bread-goo is a success! The fermentation really does make it taste better. I've paid upwards of five bucks for artisinal bread this good. @_@

Domestic Cred
Do you know what I did today?
I cleaned! I unpacked boxes! I arranged knick-knacks on various flat surfaces! I have a bread ooze in the fridge 'prefermenting' that tomorrow I will make into BREAD.
I am probably the least domestic woman to ever walk the earth, but y'all... after six months of being in my new place, I'm finally getting some art up ( Read more... ) -

Ready to be Home
Sorry for the downer post, y'all, but I'm not in such a great mindspace... which is really stupid literally one day after Christmas, but the Giftmas adrenaine high is worn off and the cabin fever has set in.
