Huh. I was just in the library the other day, and it turns out that there were some clippings about me and Rua. Weird, huh?
They're about the time I fell into my coma, about eight years ago. They're from the Tatsu no Kiba papers.

I remember when that happened. I didn't know that there was articles on us about it.

Ruka, didn't the creator of Duel Monsters get his inspiration from his trips to Egypt?

You do? Huh. I didn't remember until my duel, and the other versions of you I've met don't remember it or my duel. I'm glad you do, though.

Is that right? I remember that he created them, but I couldn't remember where he got the idea. I've not been doing my homework as well as I should, since I got here.

Well, I came here a while after your duel, so I should, shouldn't I?

And I haven't been here as long as you have. So I kinda remember things better.

The other versions of you fell asleep in the middle.

The two that I talked to, yeah.

Strange that they would come here at that point. Where are they?

I haven't seen them in a while, actually. Maybe they went home?

[She looks sad. Even if one of them was more of a jerk than usual.]

... hey. Rua. How do you feel about having a birthday party in a couple months?

[rua_x]

Maybe, or they could just be busy or something...

A birthday party sounds great, we never even had one.

I don't see with what. It's not like you'd hide out to catch up on homework or anything.

You, too? I know that in my world, at least, we'd just mark ourselves a year older on the last day of the year that we should have had a birthday. New Year's passed, so I should be twelve, now, and sometime this year I'll be thirteen. It's the same for you, right?

...How long have they've been here? Maybe to get back we need to stay here for a period of time.

Pretty much, since our parents were never around, we never got birthday presents or anything. When do you think our birthday's are?

Shorter time than I have. If that's how it works, then the times must be really sporadic.

[She nods] They'd come home occasionally, and we'd celebrate whatever the nearest holiday was. We haven't been able to find our birth certificates anywhere in the house, either.

... late spring?

Its probably random then, you could wake up one day here and the next back in your world.

Maybe we should try digging up any info on us somewhere else, its obvious someone is hiding something from us.

Like late April or early May?

Yeah, that's how Mana described it. She apparently went home for a couple months, then came back here.

I found these newspaper clippings, but not anything else. Even these don't have our family name on them. That's peculiar, don't you think?

Something like that, yeah.

Who's Mana? Oh man, so even if we do come back home, we could come back here?!

Something is up, why wouldn't we have a family name, everybody else has one.

She's one of my friends here. She, um, looks like Black Magician Girl, only with brown hair and tan clothing.

Man, even Rally has a last name, and he should be an orphan!
