[ Klavier backs up, making sure he can get a good view of his SFC and vice-versa. When it clicks on, you can hear a
faint song being played in the background by an electric guitar... it stops briefly as he introduces himself: ]
Achtung! Now it's a party. [ He grins. ] My name is Klavier Gavin, and it's a real pleasure, despite our current

You sound like you've made yourself right at home.

Of course. Home is where my music is, Fräulein. Though I admit... it would be nice if a legal system had followed me; possibly even a courthouse, but ours is... flawed, to begin with. So in the end, perhaps this is just a chance for something new, ja~?
[ And his smile never wanes; not really. ] And free vacations don't generally happen, even if you're a god of rock, so we may as well enjoy it, you know~?

That's what's nice about worlds. It's something brand new to enjoy and be a part of, and maybe make part of it your own. But I wouldn't call this place a vacation necessarily...

[ It sounds like he's playing with lyrics in the back of his mind (there's a tap of his foot, even, as he plays), considering the song is being so intently focused on despite the fact he's talking to her. ]
And I noticed that, believe me. It's my personal theory that that fact alone isn't proper evidence, however, as to what's going on... or why we've been taken. Whatever the reason, anything circumstantial isn't helpful.
[ Klavier chuckles, after a moment. ] Ah, information... she's a fickle woman, truth, but she generally finds her way out of the darkness to us at some point. I have no doubt we'll meet again.

[ Or to put it less poetically... ] I suppose you could call me a knight... of the trial. I put murderers and bad people behind bars. That is my job. A life rests in the defendant's chair, and I have to make sure that they are truly guilty... but nonetheless, they generally are.

You're from Los Angeles?

[ There's a short sigh. ] This place... it's a bit sad, really. It's a nice fishbowl, but I'm not a fish. Too quiet for my tastes.

[ He pauses, but his grin doesn't wane. ]
... And as long as one of you doesn't kill another, of course. I've heard 'boredom kills,' but I hardly hope that would be the case.

You play the guitar? That's pretty interesting, I like your music, Klavier.
Out of curiosity, what is a prosecutor? Are you some sort of insurance agent or something?

[ Yeah, that's why he plays. ... Mostly. Sad. Sadder still? This man doesn't know what a prosecutor is...? ] ... You can't be serious. But something tells me you are. Nein, a prosecutor is nothing like an insurance agent.
When one man kills another, they are taken to court. For the sake of the people, it is the prosecutor's job to make sure people who would kill another for any reason, or similar crime of any form, is punished to the full extent of the country's law.
... In short, it's my other life's work to make sure the guilty hear nothing but the Jailhouse Blues.

...Oh. I see. [There's a strange look on his face that passes in a second. Imagine, if they had lawyers back in Gunsmoke, Vash would be prosecuted so heavily he wouldn't know what hit him.] But that's really good! You're fighting to keep the bad people away from the innocent. That seems like an honorable occupation.
...Jailhouse Blues?

[ Klavier grins. ] Something like that. You must live in a tiny country... but then, even Borginia had a legal system. Isn't there one where you come from?
[ Swiftly ignoring the last question; he feels it'd be useless to explain that to someone without music in their soul, so to speak. ]
