Romy knocked it out of the park for my birthday dinner - homemade faux KFC chicken, biscuits, taters & gravy! Tasted a little more like Zehnder's fried chicken, but it was perfect - no grease, tons of flavor, crispy chicken skin that was like bacon - I has a happy from this!

I love fandom. I love the idea of it, the practice of it, sometimes even the smell of it. (Don't laugh - for Christmas one year my sweetie got me a set of Torchwood-inspired perfume oils and a My Little Pony tea sampler!)

Sammitchi is still in the kitty hospital. She seems to be responding to the treatment, just not enough to come home yet. This is at the 36-hour mark; apparently this course of treatment usually runs for 48, so I'm trying to hold myself together until tomorrow comes with its own news.

I'm a mess
Our oldest kitty, Sami (she's not quite 9 yet), is in the kitty hospital. She's in renal failure; we don't know yet if it's the kind or stage she can come back from.
I...never deal well with these things. I'm a physical, emotional, and mental wreck. Every. Damn. Time. I'm highly empathic and sensitive, and I've long thought that I tend to pick up on ( Read more... )
