yup, $400 for the 4g version, $500 for the 8g. A tad bit more than an iPod, but from everything i saw it do at the keynote, it appears to be a good deal more capable than your average smartphone. And of course easier to use.
Depressing thing is that Apple just got sued for using the name iPhone. If not that, what else could they call it?
Nah. Nothing I haven't seen on a smartphone except the larger hard drive, which is about the only major change, aside from playing itunes format instead of .mp3 or .wma format files. The schematics only make it look easier to use than your average treo in one way: all the touch buttons are huge, meaning you don't need to be very precise. So it's basically a treo with a larger hard drive (which is the one truly great feature about it.)
Then again, you're stuck with an EDGE network so, unless you're planning to use WI-FI, it's gonna work so-so.
But then again, what do I know about cellphones? ;)
