Because he likes you?

And pets are there to have company, I think.

I do not see the correlation between Father Nightroad's feelings towards me and his naming of a pet.

What is the purpose of company?

He wants the pet to have your character?

It's so you won't be lonely.

That is impossible. I do not have character.

According to my files, loneliness is undesirable.

I'm well, Tres, expectedly. Sister Esther Blanchett also had no complications.

More importantly, Caterina is recovered?

Ah, he resembles you, see? He's a very quiet little dog, and although he looks vicious, he has a sweet look in his eyes.

But he does bite and scratch when he plays with me.

Affirmative. The Duchess of Milan is nearly fully recovered.

Negative. Your canine does not resemble me.

A pet? Well for one, it helps with lowering the intensity of the ticking sound and for another, some people are just lonely.

As for Abel naming his dog after you, I must admit that you and the puppy have a slight resembalance to each other. And I suppose Abel must have really missed you.

The ticking sound is distracting to humans?

Negative. It is impossible for us to resemble each other.

Mmhmm. Most people find it quite sets them off after a while. It's rather tragic, really.

Honestly? Yes. You both are very loyal and strong after all.

That does not explain why humans seek pets outside of the City.

Loyal and strong? Please explain.
