i called her today after church and she told me that she doesn't feel comfortable going to prom with me. so she's not going to. and i'm sortof okay with it, because honestly, i don't feel comfortable hanging out with her anymore, and i don't feel comfortable talking to her on the phone. i kind of wish the friendship acquaintance would just die -

You shouldn't worry about it, amigo. I never went to prom...with my class being so small (14) it was a big deal that I didn't go. I heard a ton of "Why weren't you there?" and "You ruined it! It isn't special without ALL the Seniors being there." and also that I would regret not going for the rest of my life. But you know what? I still don't, 3 years later.

Of course there was a good reason I didn't go...I was going to, I asked her, she said yes, and then her mom told her she couldn't go. The whole point of going was so I could be with her. So anyway, the moral of the story is, why waste the time and money if you're going to spend the whole time bumming over some girl who isn't there?
