Wednesday night was a reminder of how live music really, really, makes me feel alive. 65daysofstatic made me feel like I was floating a million miles from anywhere, while a thousand knives were stabbing my heart. I packed my first box this afternoon [containing a number of books and videos of The X-Files], so I guess that's it; I really am moving. I imagine The Fear will begin to descend over the next week. But at least it won't be over the "M" word, as for once I appear to have my finances sorted well in advance. That's nice, I like how I can pull it ( Read more... )

OK, so I'm now completely resigned to the fact that I'm spending the weekend in a mud bath in bloody Berkshire (again - why must I almost) but it's all good as I have vodka and Ailsa has a £4 box of wine and, having worked 130 hours in the last 18 days, I now have six whole days off work to relax and watch bands, and who could ask for more ( Read more... )
