I miss-wrote. I will be taking call every other week, for the whole week. It involves carrying the on-call cell phone and answering phone calls to the office after regular business hours. We get an hour to respond to the phone call. On rare occasions, we go see the patient making the call, but apparently there is no set time we have to get there in (which, given the shear size of the territory, is good for us). In a true emergency, I tell the patient to call 911. If and when I get admission training, it means admitting people to our service on the weekends (a 2-3 hour process).
