R - It was CASSIS, wasn't it (laugh). That image of the GazettE being considered popular was bad. I wanted this song to sell, but it wasn't why I made it, still I thought it was a good song and that's why we released it, but that the GazettE as a whole would be considered like this, I was greatly irritated by it. That's why the singles after that were the opposite [to CASSIS] and aggressive songs were released. Ballads were made, I love such beautiful melodies as I mentioned, but we simply didn't overdo it in one song. This time, rather than an album following one main thread, we wanted to make an album that would be rich in composition variety.

Please Ruki-kun.. say that one more time for the fans in the far back that didnt hear you.... Because I am sure.. Someone will ask .. or say.... "Why are they making songs like this!? GazettE was way better back in NIL era...." ........... this is why... :)

Thanks for the translation... :) *memz*

Thanks so much for translating. I respect Ruki so much as an artist, and totally agree with all that he believes in - not because it's him believing in it, but because what he says is always so heartfelt, sincere and true. He always manages to point out the issues that bother me, and articulate them in a way that i would never be able to.

Thanks again! ^^

hello! thanks a lot for the translation!
just one qustion. what does the interviewer mean when he said "You're steadily becoming a band not aiming a the charts!"?
i took it like he said the gazette was not doing well on sales or at the oricon chart. or did he mean that gazette doesnt care if they are on the charts?
thanks again!
