Thanks and congratulations to skywardprodigal, who introduced me to the TV series Dexter, which led me to Darkly Dreaming Dexter, the novel of the moment.

It's been something of a time of challenge for me over the past few months, and the novel's dark, morbid humour is right up my street.

I'm liking this book so much, I may even try to catch the series on TV...

The idea was recently put to me that Gordon Allport's linking of prejudice and antipathy is a crucial one:
