My blood work came back a little wonky last time so I had an ultrasound of my liver today. It is fatty, like me. It seems I'm reaching the age where my weight DOES matter and my diet and routine are going to need a serious change. I'm not scared but I'm apprehensive. Today is my first day of furlough. I rented a carpet cleaning machine and started spring cleaning. I had hoped that I could get my Great Uncle Joe's old sofa clean but that sadly isn't how it turned out. It is this great pale yellow tufted "cigarette sofa". Today was parade day! Overall, I'm really pleased with the way the "float" came out. The balloons on the front of the cloud blew off about half way and we had to hold the logo as the wind kept throwing them up. Lessons learned. LOL The Kula folks seemed pleased with it.

Well, almost. I was working from home because I had a doctor's appt. to have my stitches out. They canceled but I had to work since I had my laptop. We got furlough notices yesterday so I have next week off. It'll make money a little tight but I'll survive ( Read more... )

Last night's progress.

I'm building a float for our St Patrick's Day Parade for Kula Café. It is basically a decorated pick up. Since this is my first float I went with the obvious theme of a rainbow (you know pot of gold yahdah yahdah). I'm pretty pleased with how it is coming out.

I'm home with pink eye. I'm averaging it twice a year. My allergies get bad, ,y right sinus gets clogged and irritates my right eye and BAM pink eye. I'm 42 and most of my doctor visits are about ear aches and pink eye. LOL
