My brother's changing apartments this week. Right now, he's thinking of renting a truck and moving the big stuff this Thursday (6/19).

My desktop PC finally bit the dust the other day, and it'll be a while before I can afford to replace it (it's not worth fixing).

Fortunately, I've got an old laptop lying around that makes for a decent, no-frills desktop replacement in a pinch.

Yard's fine, save for a couple of branches that needed to go anyway.

Seems everyone's safe so far, although a lot of my mom's former students (from when she taught at NCCS) live in Cherokee County...

I've heard from a couple of people who had their yards damaged and a third who had her car destroyed.

Hope everyone's safe after that last blitz of storms we just had.

House and family are okay, but I haven't had a chance to check the yard yet...

I don't know how I missed this (maybe I did see it and blocked it out), but "filmmaker" Uwe Boll has a movie based on the Dungeon Siege games coming out today. What's more, Boll managed to score a surprisingly good cast for it.

Gotta hand it to the guy, he did pick a series that some people feel already plays itself for you...
