I didn't post about my last shift.  It was a three day shift and I was ill on the last day and the following day off.  It surprised me as I'm never "really" ill.  Usually I just feel grotty, but I was proper zonked for two days.  It wasn't a very eventful shift for the two days I was in.  As there was only 4 of us and on the first shift two were ( Read more... )

Are why I've not posted for days.   We had one on  the last  Saturday which meant we finished about the same time as the shift that followed us.  As a result we were all dead on our feet on Sunday and I had a builder in early Monday morning so the first chance I had to properly sleep was during the day on Monday ( Read more... )

One happened to me last night.   It generally goes:

"If you are tired, need to get home early or have had a quiet shift up until 5 minutes before your shift is due to end; that is when you will have to arrest someone".

Bloke smashes a night club window and runs off.  Made a significant statement though.
