Talk to me about sandwiches. What is your favorite sandwich?
What makes a good sandwich?
What takes a good sandwich and makes it great?
What's the most unusual/brilliant thing you've ever seen/eaten on a sandwich?

i love when they're overloaded with fresh vegetables on good breads. it doesn't matter what kind of bread, but fresh.
Manjari used to make excellent sandwiches that were so full of stuff that they were falling apart all over the place. greens, avocados, cheeses, sauces. sooo good.
the best sandwich i ever made was some kind of sweet ham and french ementhal, with caramelized onions, olives and some random lettuce greens, on a baguette that i hollowed out. i pressed it between some books over night and grilled it panini style the next day. had it on a picnic with wine.
avocado might be my favourite thing on a sandwich after mustard. but *everything* is better with mustard.

-The veggie sandwich that they used to serve at Tequilla Bookworm: On a nice rosemary foccacia bread. Filling: tomatoes, very thinly sliced purple onions, avocado, lots of sprouts, mayo and dijon. Yum!
-old fashioned watercress sandwiches. They remind me of my visits to England as a child, my aunt used to make us watercress sandwiches and serve them to us by the pool. :)
