I just watched the Princess Bride for the millionth time. I do very much love that movie.

It's been a nice summer so far. I haven't really done that much - I think that's why it's been so nice. I've been working on my kitchen floor (I've decided it needs to be black and white checkerboard). I've been cleaning - I scrubbed out my oven and mopped and dusted and vacuumed and sorted. You know I've been fighting a complete obsession with Doctor Who for a year now. I've been very careful to maintain a polite distance. And then you create a library the size of a planet? You, sir, do not fight fair.

I had an miserable meeting today - I will not go into it here. Suffice it to say, it was not a good day. So...I am making brownies. Strangely enough, the making helped. I have a feeling the eating will help even more. :c)

Another year older. Life sure is going fast. Anyway, I don't really feel another year wiser, but it's surely a good day to celebrate. Anyway, my birthday has been a good day. It was a beautiful day. I took advantage of it and finished raking my front yard(3 hours). My grass looks great. Although, really I did it so that I can walk barefoot through it without stepping on pinecones or pine needles. And then, I still had energy so I washed the pollen off my car. So today, my ambition is french fries. Is it normal for them to sound like they're singing in the oven? Kind of like whales?

The journey of learning to cook is a bit hazardous. I now have a red burn mark on the back of my left hand from the top of my oven. Never fear, though. My ambition is undaunted. I shall persevere!
