So, I tried out the raw cat food. All three cats looked at me like they were wondering why I put not-food in the food bowls, and how was I going to rectify the situation. So, I mixed in half wet cat food, and they licked at it, but didn't eat it with their usual gusto. I'm going to leave it for a bit and see if they go back to it. I really want ( Read more... )

gerber chicken baby food has always been my magic bullet for kitty strength.

aside: only my cats who actually kill things will touch raw food. I tried it. it was fail overall.

What DID work was cooking a chicken for 18 hours in a crock pot and then picking out the bones before putting it into a vita mix on very low speed. They LOVED that. Of course. ^-^

I'm willing to try anything. I can't stand the idea of giving her food that will make her sicker sooner than necessary.

I just cooked the raw lamb they mostly wouldn't eat. I'm letting it cool and will give it to them again. I think to start with I'll try half cooking the raw food, and see if they'll eat that, and if they will, slowly move to less cooked food. If not, crock pot chicken it is! :)
