"Palouse" is not only a wonderful word, but a gorgeous part of Eastern Washington. 1) LOVE the stuff on your etsy. Do you use a particular type of wood? I have many questions about such things.

2) So THAT'S what Palouse looks like. Hmm...We have a print called "Palouse Forest(?)" at work and I could never figure out if it was supposed to be France or what - but it looks a lot like your photos. :)

Hullo! Long time no speak!

The wood that I use for the stuff on my etsy account varies- My pseudo-uncle makes custom guitars out of Puyallup, WA, and he sends me all the scrap that he's not going to use from leftover guitar necks and bodies and so forth. That means that a lot of it is burl maple, but I get some purple heart, walnut, koa, fire maple, all sorts of cool things that I get in little bits 'n pieces.

And yeah- that's the Palouse! it's a really interesting rural chunk of Washington. Apparently a third of all the lentils grown in the US are grown there. Like most of Washington State, it's named after a Native American tribe. :)
