Why is it so hard to spell Gwaine? I know it's not spelled the way most people are used to. But, watch Merlin pause it at the credits and BAM GWAINE. Though my favorite has to be Gawaine. IDK it looks weird ( Read more... )

LOL I took to calling the guy G-Love because it seemed that there was no agreement on how to spell his name.

The titles spell it Gwaine. I don't really think they'd mess it up three times. It's not exactly new, they also spell Ygraine differently. People seem to have accepted that one.

Hahahaha. I am told. Have to admit to having always written it 'GAWAIN' and thus assumed that the show would too. Oops? Shouldn't really be surprised what with Ygraine vs Igraine and the general messing around with the names. *eye roll*

I know right. I figure it's their way of sort of saying this isn't the legend you know and love. These charters are different. Then again, I'm not too sure the Merlin writers are that deep.

With my typing skills it often ends up as Gawine which is embarassing...

But yeah got to go with the credits. They were how I discovered you spell Elyan.

I always have to check omg did that stupid A move again?

Miss typing a few times isn't what really gets me. What gets me is writing a fic and spelling his name wrong. Unless they are not writing about the Gwaine (Totally checked to make sure that A was in the right place) we know and love, if that's the case go to town on the spelling.

Spelling Sarah with an H is always right. It's without the H when we need to get made at the Sara. (who really isn't a sarah cause there is no H.)

You are so mean to other Saras.

It's not just me!! People here have actually asked me if I spell it with an H and are so relieved when I say yes. I'm telling you, there is something bad about most so-called "sara's"

I think it's because it was traditionally spelled 'Gawain,' but hell, even back that spellings could change from line to line. *shrugs* Quite frankly I don't much care*, I just want to see some Gwaine/Lancelot fics. =D

*I think this attitude is because I'm so used to people spelling my name a dozen different ways or calling me something entirely altogether. I'm not sure how they get 'Lindsey' or 'Leslie' out of 'Lacey,' but, eh, it's close enough I guess..

I love Merlin so much, especially how it can be so ridiculous and campy, and yet beautiful, oddly touching, and even inspiring as well.

I haven't been keeping up with SPN. I feel bad. I don't know why, I'm just haven't been into it lately. How's it going so far this season?

It is normally spelled that way. But I feel like if you're going to take the time to write a story and share it with people, the least you could do is google his name. It's in four eps, one is titled Gwaine and the website also has his name up spelled Gwaine.

How the heck do you get ANY of those names out of Lacey? I mean that's pretty impressive.

Merlin is such a crazy fun ride. I love every moment of it. I love how the show is growing and getting deeper into everything while still being funny.

I'm enjoying it. But then again I'm really easy and I've liked all of SPN.
