Palm trees are candles in the murder wind

Except Los Angles is not on fire. Goleta is. The air at my house is black. The fire is 24% contained and burning 8,300 odd acres as of Sunday 7/6 around 10 pm. We are evacuating the horses, but the fire isn't threatening the school. So I am going to hopefully bring them to campus stables. I am going to be VERY busy getting everything ready to care

Which is good; I would be extremely upset to find out that you were on fire. In fact, I still am, because you're already so close, but you're safe, so that's okay.

And hey, maybe I'll end up out there - a firefighter in my first responder class found out that two years ago I got certification for a Type Two hand crew, and asked me to think about joining them this summer. ^^ I think I might do it, once I find my certificate!
