I haven't been updating much because this year has been pretty shitty and I don't want to be that person on LJ bitching about how much their life sucks.

I think I've officially gone as far as I can go with changing my diet and doing the Weight Watcher's points thing.  I've lost about 15 lbs since I started tracking points values. But I've been stuck at this plateau for about 4 months now - time to add more activity into my weekly routine.

There was an article in today's paper about the measures that hospitals are taking to treat overweight people. I would like to say that I am amazed at the venom and cruelty and the downright hostile attitude that the majority of commenters on this article have against people who are obese ... but I can't. I had a strange dream last night ... I was in a hospital getting a check up for work with another coworker (the face of my coworker in the dream was not anyone I knew). We both ended up being forced into surgery for ... I forget, but it was critical at the time, and somehow important for the job I was doing.

A couple nights ago I went on a road trip with a friend to keep him company while he worked on the systems for a water treatment plant that got hit by lightening. 2 hour drive down to the middle of nowhere (also known as Mendota, IL) and I find myself in the middle of Bugland. I've been struggling with horrible, itchy bumps on my right arm for about 2 months now. They come and go, seemingly at random.
