That disturbs me a little as well. To me, it reads,

White English man wants attractive, quiet, Chinese woman.

That's like, 80% of men these days.

*sniggers* I believe it's called Yellow fever, these days, if you want to be incredibly politically incorrect.

Yeah, it's a pretty disturbing advertisement. The pay isn't that bad, either.

I think it changed recently. It used to be 8 and something yuan to the dollar. Now I think it's seven and something. The rate is set by the Chinese government, which makes the world economy unhappy, and there's been a lot of pressure on the Chinese government to turn to a free market currency system. The Chinese government is resisting because the extremely favorable exchange rate encourages foreign investment, and China needs all the capital it can get.
