...really short Frenchmen. I see these great canopied beds, lushly ornamented with gold thread and silk weavings and with gilt everywhere, and I can't help but think that it would be really awkward for me to try to sleep in that bed, since it's so small. ...spiral staircases. I like them aesthetically, but I think I'm developing a bit of distaste for them. They're bad for my knee. My right knee has been bothering me on and off for a fair while now, and more on than off for the past week. I think, ironically enough, that it's the Tai Chi that did it this time.

...Amazing food. The ordinary baguettes on the street are rediculously tasty, and the restaurants are a little pricy, but well worth the cost. Had dinner at this wonderful little shop near the hotel that had an amazing 3-course meal. Smoked salmon, followed by rich and juicy roast duck, and a yogurt type of dessert.
